Her lærer vi om ungarsk kultur og historie i kronologisk rekkefølge. Senere vandrer vi gjennom parken for å besøke Vajdahunyadslottet som ved bruk av typisk ungarsk arkitektur ble bygget for verdensutstillingen i 1896. Neste stopp er Szechenyi badehus for å lære litt om den utrolige badekulturen dette landet har å by på. Deretter tar vi Milleniumsmetroen tilbake til byen hvor vi stopper ved Operahuset og Andrassy Blvd. Her blir vi opplyst om hvilken viktighet operaen har hatt for kultur og nobilitet. På dette tidspunkt tar vi et kvarters pause hvor det vil være anledning til å kjøpe forfriskninger. Så fortsetter vi med et stopp ved St. Stephen`s Basilica før vi fortsetter mot Deakkvartalet, gjennom Elizabethkvartalet før vi ender opp i sentrum ved Ferenciekkvartalet. Her kan vi nyte fantastisk arkitektur før vi fortsetter gjennom Vaci gågate og ned til den berømte Donaupromenaden. Her kan vi oppleve den spektakulære utsikten mot Gellertåsen og Citadel samt Budafjellene og Buda slottsdistrikt. Vi stopper utenfor Vigado før vi krysser den berømte hengebroen. I den avsluttende fasen av turen klatrer vi opp trinnene til Buda slottsdistrikt og Det Kongelige Palass før vi fortsetter gjennom de gamle brosteinsgatene mot avsluttningspunktet foran Matthiaskirken og Fisherman`s Bastion. Her tar vi farvel og turguiden vil være behjelpelig med ideer, retningsbeskrivelse og mer! There we learn about Hungarian history and culture through the line of kings displayed in chronicle order. After we walk through the park to visit the Vajdahunyad Castle (outside) complex built for the world EXPO in 1896 displaying typical Hungarian architecture used. Next a stop off at Szechenyi bath house (peek inside when open) to learn about the amazing bath culture this country has to offer. Next we take the Millennium metro back towards the city center and stop off at the Opera house (outside) and Andrassy Blvd. teaching you about the significance the Opera and street brought to culture and nobility.
We’ll have a 10-15 min. WC and refreshments break where you can buy snacks and drinks (hot and cold). Continuing on we stop by the St. Stephen’s Basilica (a peek inside when open) then over to Deák Square though Elizabeth square and then we walk down toward the center stopping at Ferenciek Sq. for the amazing architectural buildings, a short stroll along the Vaci walking street then down to the riverside’s famous Danube Promenade. Here we will look at the spectacular view of Gellert hill and the Citadel, Buda Hills and the Buda Castle District as we walk along it. We stop at the Vigado (outside) the former municipal hall with loads of historical stories and then a picturesque photo op with the little princess before crossing the famous Chain Bridge.
For the final part of the tour we climb the steps up into the Buda Castle District to the Royal Palace (outside) and then walk through the old cobble stone streets and alleys to our finishing point in front of the Matthias church and Fisherman’s Bastion. At the conclusion of the tour the guide will help with ideas, directions and more!
