Máriabesnyő – Domonyvölgy - Gödöllõ

Our first destination is Máriabesnyő. The beautifully situated Máriabesnyő surrounded by forests, the Royal Palace of Gödöllõ and the neighbouring Lázár Horse riding Park provide unforgettable experiences to the visitors. The two-storey baroque devotional church is unique in Hungary and it is an interesting attraction along with the building of the monastery. When we arrive there, we can take a short visit in the beautiful church, then we will taste three typical Hungarian wine with some salt biscuits.

Our next destination is Domonyvölgy, where we can find the famous Lázár Horse Park.
On arrival at the park guests are welcomed with fresh scones topped with crackling, a fruit brandy or mineral water.
The horse show will start at 11:30.

Program:
- Four hand drive, pony driven carriage
- Display of nomad warrior archery - archery on horseback, throwing a spear, jumping through fire
- Skills of the horsemen – making the horse lie down, cracking the whip, competition between the horsemen
- Competition involving the guests – knocking a bottle with the whip
- Cart pulled by four oxen
- Display by funny trained donkey
- Puszta-five
- Horse display of „Queen Elizabeth” in costume, sitting side-saddle

At the end of the programme the guests are invited to mount the horses, or to take part in a pleasant coach trip through the woods as well as visit the Lázár Equestrian Park.

After the coach trip we will have lunch in the restaurant of the horse park.
Menu:
- A cauldron of Hungarian goulash
- Custard pie with apricot jam
- 2 dl glass of white or red wine
- Mineral water
- Espresso coffee

After lunch we will continue our trip to Gödöllõ, where we can find the largest baroque castle in Hungary. After only a 15-minute drive we arrive to the former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sissi) and Francis Joseph (Habsburg Emperor & Hungarian King 1867-1916). This interior visit of the Museum and the tour through the garden of the Chateau, gives you a glimpse of times under the Austro-Hungarian Empire. You will become acquainted with the secrets of the private life, the hidden doors, rooms and lovers of the royal couple. We get some interesting information about the castle and surroundings from our guide in English language.

We travel back to Budapest in the evening hours.
