In Hungary the knight tournaments are started shown firstly in the Sümeg castle in order the medieval valiant life to be recalled in the New Age. A real knight dinner waits for us without cutleries after the games.

We leave Budapest in the direction of Sümeg at noon. Sümeg and it’s region belongs to the cultural heritage of the Hungarian nation which owns 1100 years history.

The Castle offers an imposing sight already from the road, look down to us from the tall hill.

A beautiful walk drives into the castle standing on a steep hill top. The castle hill has special sight towering from the totally plain. Because of its location it might have been a fortress which can be defended well. A museum is furnished in the castle, where we know the story of the castle, the different manners of the old punishments and its devices, and we can see a carriage collection as well.

We can watch the events of a tournament in the knight arena furnished at the foot of the hill after the castle visiting.

The main elements of the program are from the medieval tournaments, like the weapon skill show (archery, battle star-, battle-axe-, spear throw) on foot and on horse, the rider and pedestrian tilt (with swords, shields, a mace, etc.) are parts of the show. The characters are in period fancy dress all the time, the mood and standard are maintaned by our narrator and the suitable music.
The program is enriched with poems, contemporary musics and dance performances, circus horse show in historical background, bedded into an imagine story.
    
The program is with a medieval dinner.  The speciality of this, that the food is served without cutlery  as it was in the medieval ages. Gypsy music sounds during the dinner, and valiants and ladies dressed in fancy clothes served the meals to the guests..

The menu apricot spirits, medieval soup, oven baked goose leg, baked potatoes, home-made mixed salade, fruit pie, white and red wine, mineral water.

Late evening we leave to Budapest. We arrive back to the hotel late night.
