Let’s have a nice day in the fantastic Danube Bend.

We will start from Budapest by hidrofoil line. It departs from Vigadó Square at 9:30. During the journey to Visegrad that will take about 1 hour we can enjoy the spectacular view. On board of the hydrofoil the passenger compartments are equipped with LCD displays and a wide-angle lens camera in the bow of the boat, which provides outdoor images on the screens. Our bus will wait for the group in Visegrád.
We will visit the Canopy Extreme Park in Visegrád. If you need more adrenalin, this is definitely the experience you don’t want to miss because here you can see marvellous view while having fun. this programme. The tour will take about an hour and our guests get qualified guides. In the park there are different routes for all ages and different level of difficulty.
At noon we have lunch in the Renaissance Restaurant in Visegrád, where we can experience a typical medieval atmosphere.
We have a Royal Feast:
- Venison ragout soup with cream and potato rolls with onion
- Rich „Renaissance” plate ( braised venison parboiled in sage, filled with goose liver, roast goose leg with basil and cabbage steamed in red wine, loaflet)
- Knight cup with trophy
Unlimited consumption of red- and white wine as well as soft drinks is always an essential part of the feast.
After lunch we will visit the sights of Visegrád: The Citadel, The Salamon Tower, The Ruin of Royal Palace.
The Citadel is a double fortification system, that was built around 1250-1260. The castle consisted of the fortified walls around the hilltop, two towers, and a residential palace. Today the Citadel also hosts a museum exhibition.
The Salamon Tower was connected to the Citadel by a barrage-wall which ran as far as the watchtower on the Danube bank. The main entrance to Salamon Tower opened from the first floor; upstairs rooms were heated by columnar fireplaces and were lit by richly proportioned coupled windows.
In the summer, the Royal Palace becomes the location of castle games that conjure up the past. The excavated and reconstructed parts of the former Palace show both Gothic and Renaissance features. For a while the official seat of the Hungarian sovereign, it later became their summer residence.
Finally we will travel back to Budapest by bus in the early evening hours.
