Canoeing tour in the Szigetköz

We can discover the odd aquatic world of the romantic islands extending between the Danube bed and the flood filling through superb adventures.

We will leave at 5 o’clock in the morning from the hotel to the northwestern border, into the Szigetköz. Cca. 3 hours long trip will wait for us.

We will meet the tour leaders in Dunakiliti campsite. We obtain the equipments. Then we will be teached of the hydrography of the neighbourhood and the basic nautical knowledge.

At 10 o’clock we will take onto the water. The tour will go on with 3-4 person canoes. We will practise the rowing first. Then the big adventure will begin. We will roam on wonderful lakes and among beautiful islands. There will be an opportunity for swimming in the water.

We will arrive back into Dunakiliti at 16 o’clock

We will start back into the hotel after a pleasant dinner.

The terms of participation:

Good swimming skill.
Child under 14 years together with its parent only.
Child under 18 years only with a parental declaration.
Adult participants only on their own responsibility.

Useful own equipment:
Clothing being equal to weather + wind jacket. Canvas shoes, gym shoe or sandal which can be get soaked through, swimsuit, shorts, airy overgarment, a change warm dresses, raincoat, a cap or a hat. Cosmetics against sunlight. Mosquito alarm cream or spray! Sandwiches for the time of the tour, drinking water (!) Above equipments in a waterproof packaging (pl. nylon sack).
