Heroes’ Square
The central site of the Heroes' Square, as well as a landmark of Budapest, is the Millennium Memorial with statues of the leaders of the seven tribes that founded Hungary in the 9th century and other outstanding figures of Hungarian history.
Matthias Church
In the castle district you can find Matthias (Matyas) Church which is a beautiful church and a very highly frequented place by tourists. Now it is under reconstruction. It can be visited by tourist for an admission ticket.
Memento Park
Far outside the city you can find Memento Park or as it was called earlier, Statue Park. What you can find here is a collection of many old, communistic statues that where collected and put outside the city which is nowadays something like a museum. These statues are massive, big statues of communistic heroes. There is a shuttle bus going from Déak Tér to Memento Park.

Great Market Hall
The Market Hall of Budapest is a good place to shop fresh vegetables,
fruits and meat, and meet with some traditional Hungarian meals.
Margeret Island
It is like the green heart of Budapest and a well frequented recreation
area. You can find here a lot of bars, recreation areas, party places,
swimming pools, hotels, a running track, a small zoo.. If you are in
Budapest in the summer time do plan a trip to Margeret Island and take a
tour with a bike or a Bringohinto (a bike with four wheels). The island
is connected to the city with 2 bridges, and there is a boat service on
the summer weekends as well.
City Park
If you want to relax a bit or take a nice walk, go to the city park. It
is quiet and green and you can also see some nice places like the
Szechényi bath or the zoo. Also it is possible to go ice skating in the
winter time. Most people come to the city park to have a walk and eat or
drink something on a warm saturday afternoon in one of the many
restaurants.
Parliament
The building of the parliament in Budapest is a sight you need to see,
from outside and inside. This beautiful and historical building has the
best photoview from other side of the Danube.
Castle District
You must to see the castle district with all the old buildings, history,
cafes, embassies and many other sights you can visit there. Every
Budapest tourist is going up there to see Matthias church, the
Fishermen’s Bastion and the Buda Castle.
Buda Castle
On the Buda hill you can find the Buda Castle. It was the royal castle
in the past. Nowadays there are museums and exhibitons in the beautiful
building. You can reach the Castle easily by the Funicular (Siklo).
Fishermen’s Bastion
The Fishermen’s Bastion in Budapest is one of the best points to watch
the city from above. Unfortunately on the lower part where you always
could go for free Café was built which means that if you want to have a
look you need to eat or drink something you pay and go to the upper
part.
Gellert Hill and the Citadella
The Citadella on top of Gellért hill was built in the end of the 19th
century. Nowadays it is one of Budapests greatest tourist attractions
and probably the best view point to the city. You can take very nice

Synagogue in the Dohany Street
It is the largest Neolog Jewish synagogue in Budapest and Europe. It is
inte the former Jewish quarter, where many Jewish people live even
today, and the traditions are still preserved.
The synagogue is an important symbol of the Jews in Budapest, Hungary,
and as well as a major tourist attraction. It plays an active role in
the capital's cultural life. It hosts classical music concerts, venue
for various festivals, organ-concerts.
Szechenyi Bath and Gellert Bath
The Szechenyi bath is one of the most popular thermal bath in Budapest
and also the biggest. Located in the city park the bath offers
everything a natural bath needs to offer including a warm pool outside
which is really popular in the winter time to swim outside in when it is
snowing.With an outside and an inside part the Gellert bath also offers
a great recreation area.
Aquaworld Budapest
Aquaworld has a fantastic pool area with slides, whirlpools, outside
natural baths and everything else you need like Sauna, pool, solarium
and so on. So if you search for a nice place for a weekend program or
real water adventure this is your place to go. It is outside of the
city, but there is a shuttle bus service from the city.
